WELCOME TO THE HOMES OF AAB100
HERE AT 'THE STEPS', IN A CONCRETE GRAY OASIS, WE SORT OUR WASTE, GREET EACH OTHER AT A DISTANCE AND KEEP THE DOG ON A LEASH.
The buildings and 81 apartments of AAB100 are located by the protected Kalvebod Fælled, right next to the lake that separates Ørestad South from Kalvebod Fælled, on Richard Mortensens Vej 90-98.
The buildings go from 10 stories stepping down to 6 stories towards the lake and the Fælled. All homes have balconies with wide views.
Across the street our nearest neighbor to the east is the "8-Tallet" residential building, which has homes, a restaurant (Cafe 8-Tallet), a café (Roots), and the Church in Ørestad (services Sundays at 11), Nybolig, and a shop, "Walk-In".
Just north of us are Roman Pizza Ørestad and the Ørestad Minimarked (which offers convenient GLS Package services).
Nearby on Asger Jorns Alle (the future "main commercial street") can be found: Café Cobra, Thorsteinsson's Wine Bar, REMA1000, Pelican Storage, Fitness World and Dinos Legeland.
On the west side of the department is a two-storey terraced house and another high-rise building with rental housing. As a neighbor, we now have the last part of the desired "horseshoe".
The department is close to day care institutions, Kalvebod Fælled School, Royal Arena and Streethal and ice rink. Public transport by Metro (Vestamager Metro St.) and bus is within walking distance. Fælleden offers great nature experiences, Naturcenter Amager, Traktørstedet with good food (weekly communal dining), nature playground and a lot of walking, riding and cycling paths and shelters. There is also a golf course and shooting ranges near the department. Field’s department store with many, many shops, cinema, and a Bilka with long opening hours and an Irma, a Netto, and another REMA1000 are only one and a half metro stops away. In cycling distance there are also a Burger King, a Fakta and SPAR as well as several gas stations (and yet another REMA1000!). Here are also hotels in the expensive and middle price range. Transport time to Copenhagen Airport can, with a little luck, be less than a quarter of an hour.
The department has solar cells on the roof and a party room for shared use as well as a sandbox and a cozy terrace and an outdoor barbecue. (Party room users have priority!)
